Elmira, ON–Today the Canadian Council of Christian Charities (CCCC) announced the Best Christian Places to Work in Canada fall finalists for 2009. The survey was administered in September to November of 2009 by the Best Christian Workplace Institute (BCWI).
John Pellowe, CEO of CCCC, says the survey is “an important tool for discerning how well Christian values and practices have been applied in the workplace.” The survey asks a number of questions about how faith is manifested by leadership and within the team. According to Pellowe, “the survey helps Christian ministries have not just a great work environment, but a great Christian work environment.”
Organizations are recognized if they meet a benchmark of excellence. The fall finalists for the year 2009 are:
The survey covers job satisfaction, organizational commitment, Christian witness, supervisory effectiveness, work satisfaction, personal growth and development, management effectiveness, customer/supporter satisfaction, teamwork, communications, pay and benefits.
The Best Christian Workplaces Institute has surveyed more than 90,000 employees across North America in the past eight years.
“Our research shows that transparent, trustworthy, servant-leadership results in the sustained levels of staff engagement necessary during these difficult times,” says Al Lopus, President of BCWI.
