Before introducing myself, let me share with you the purpose of this blog. Christian Leadership Reflections<\/em> is a discussion about the practice of leadership: personal, team, and organizational, with a little board leadership (governance) thrown in. I also write about leadership outside of our organizations, which I call Community Leadership. I am very interested in applying Christian faith to leadership practices and how being part of a community of faith affects the way we lead Christian ministries. (You can read about my journey to Christian faith here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part of my work responsibility is to develop material to help ministries with leadership and governance issues. So, I’ll test ideas out here and get your reactions. I’ll share what I am learning here as well. I  hope that together we will grow to become great Christian leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How often should you look for new posts from me? Generally I write one post a week, and usually post it Monday mornings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now about me<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I joined\u00a0the Canadian Centre for Christian Charities<\/a> in September 2003 and became\u00a0Chief Executive Officer a few weeks later. CCCC is\u00a0an association of more than 3,000 Christian ministries that\u00a0provides assistance for\u00a0their support and leadership functions including\u00a0advice, training, and services such as group benefits and pension plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ordination<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada <\/a>ordained me into Christian ministry in 2007. I have served as a pastor, but my primary call (with the support of the PAOC) is to serve the broader church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
