In a previous post<\/a>, I explored the Ontario Court of Appeal’s decision in\u00a0Delicata, et al\u00a0v.<\/em>\u00a0Incorporated Synod of the Diocese of Huron. <\/em><\/p>\n

That case\u00a0dealt with the question of ownership of charitable assets after a local church congregation parted ways with its Diocese, pursuant to “profound and long-standing theological differences.”\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Yesterday, the Supreme Court of Canada dismissed an application seeking leave to appeal that decision<\/a>.\u00a0This leaves the Ontario Court of Appeal’s decision<\/a> the final say on that matter.<\/p>\n
