As a Programmer on contract with CCCC, you\u2019ll be part of a fast-paced and energetic team that helps Christian charities be exemplary, healthy, and effective.<\/p>\n

ARE YOU THE ONE TO HELP US?<\/strong>
\nAre you an IT Professional with at least 2-5 years of programming experience who feels called to use your skills and expertise to benefit thousands of Christian charities across Canada? Do you love writing code and solving challenging problems? If so, CCCC\u2019s growing ministry has an opportunity on its IT team that you may be interested in!<\/p>\n

WOULD YOU ENJOY DOING THIS WORK?<\/strong>
\nYou will be primarily focused on building, testing, and maintaining various web applications (e.g., writing APIs to connect to CCCC\u2019s new learning management system) that are utilized by CCCC\u2019s members to access our services and resources. You will also be involved in the maintenance of CCCC\u2019s database content and reporting requirements. Assisting with the research of new technologies to help inform good management decision making will also be an important part of this role.<\/p>\n

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL BE\u2026<\/strong>
\nKnown for writing beautiful code.<\/strong>
\nYou have a strong background in object-oriented PHP programming and application architecture and can provide a portfolio of your work. You also have experience with multiple programming languages and development environments, including PHP (Laravel framework), MYSQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.<\/p>\n

Passionate about new technologies.<\/strong>
\nYou are passionate about new technologies and pick up on technical things quickly. You are good at learning new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge.<\/p>\n

Adept at learning on the fly.<\/strong>
\nYou quickly grasp the essence and the underlying structure of things and enjoy the challenge of new and unfamiliar tasks. You are open to change and learn quickly when facing new problems. You are known as a continuous and versatile learner.<\/p>\n

Professional and trustworthy.<\/strong>
\nYou are professional, responsive, resourceful, flexible, and have a positive work attitude. Your high level of attention to detail, sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion mean your work is done with excellence.<\/p>\n

People-oriented.<\/strong>
\nYou love working within a collaborative and innovative team and have a proven track record of building strong working relationships. Providing in-person technical support to CCCC staff members would be something that you enjoy.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re a good communicator<\/strong>
\nYou can communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing.<\/p>\n

LOCATION<\/strong>
\nThis position is based out of CCCC\u2019s office in Elmira, Ontario.<\/p>\n
