“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.  And be thankful.” (Colossians 3:15) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here at CCCC, an email string has been circulating with the subject line “What I am thankful for\u201d. It has been an encouragement to all and we thought it would be an encouragement to you also. Perhaps you may even start your own workplace conversation about thankfulness! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of things we are thankful for are: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time to reflect.<\/strong> Our entire country cannot help but think deeply about life and death,\ncommunity and country. This is an opportunity to re-evaluate our priorities,\nand perhaps see what we have taken for granted in the past. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technology.<\/strong> We may be physically isolated but technology affords many of us the\nopportunity to connect, share, and learn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Humour. <\/strong> It helps to laugh! As Proverbs\n17:22 says, \u201cA cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up\nthe bones.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Innovation.<\/strong> Our members \u2013 that\u2019s you! \u2013 are finding new ways to accomplish their\nmissions and pivoting to new online solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prayer.<\/strong> Our God is available 24-7 and hears our prayers. He will provide comfort, strength and wisdom. If we\u2019re feeling alone we have a friend who is always there for us, no matter our circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Generosity.<\/strong> Businesses are changing operations to make essential goods like medical equipment, musicians are live streaming concerts, specialized online classes are offered free of charge, organizations are collaborating to provide free or subsidized programs \u2013 no matter the circumstance we can rediscover the joy of giving! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. And in sharing our words of thanks, may we encourage and build one another up! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
