The CCCC Organizational Design Model

At the heart of The Studio is the CCCC Organizational Design Model. This clear, practical, and biblically grounded framework equips ministry leaders to explore how well their organization supports their mission—and how to strengthen that support.

The model is built on the conviction that an organization is designed to serve the ministry’s mission, reflect its faith, and strengthen its impact.

The model is built on four essential Pillars of a thriving ministry:

Exemplary - Marked by intentionality, best practices, and creativity in the pursuit of excellence.

Healthy - Characterized by great leadership, successful strategy, flourishing people, and sufficient resources.

Effective - Defined by thoughtfulness, skillful execution, and adaptability in advancing its mission.

Christian - Rooted in strong identity, clear purpose, vibrant faith, dynamic spirituality, and authentic witness.

Using the Model in Your Ministry

Completing the assessment is simple. There’s no advance preparation, and it usually takes less than an hour to complete online. Participants reflect on their own perceptions and experiences of how closely the organization aligns with the ideal. The results are compiled into a report that highlights strengths, identifies opportunities, and suggests next steps for growth.

The Studio experience is more than an assessment, it’s a moment of clarity and renewal. Through the model, the assessment results, and the development plan, ministry leaders see their organization with fresh eyes and shape it to serve God’s purpose with greater faithfulness and impact.

The Model's Designer

Rev. John Pellowe (BBA, MBA, MDiv, DMin) is the architect of the CCCC Organizational Design Model, the core of The Studio program.

Having served as both a pastor and an organizational leader, John has led CCCC since 2003, helping Christian ministries thrive in faith and function—a reflection of his personal call to serve ministry leaders.

In 2012, John’s passion for seeing ministries flourish inspired a new focus at CCCC: that its members would be exemplary, healthy, and effective Christian ministries. To support this vision, he developed a comprehensive model that defines what such a ministry looks like.

John applied the model within his own leadership and invited other ministry leaders to review and test it. The resulting robust framework became the foundation of The Studio and remains at the heart of every assessment today.

The Studio reflects John’s belief that organizational excellence and spiritual vitality belong together. It is a tool that is as pastoral as it is practical, helping leaders shape ministries that are both faithful and effective.
