To celebrate his promotion, Bussey will hold a reading on the 28th of June on the historical and philosophical roots of freedom of religion and the legal status of this freedom, both in present-day society and in the future.

Professor Iain Benson will be present at the symposium as a co-speaker. Benson is Philosopher of Law and Professor of Law at the University of Notre Dame in Sydney, Australia. His philosophical work covers a variety of subjects. Amongs other things, such as ‘secular’, ‘religious’ and ‘non-religious’, and the confusion this misuse causes in both the legal work field as well as in our everyday lives. The argument for a society that allows religious and non-religious individuals and organizations to exist on an equal footing, in a way that leaves room for both to agree to disagree.
