REMINDER: Your Ontario Accessibility Compliance Report is DUE JUNE 30!

Authored by CCCC Staff

All Ontario businesses and non-profits with 20 or more employees must complete an accessibility compliance report by JUNE 30, 2021. The original deadline was December 31, 2020 but due to COVID-19 the deadline was extended by six months. If you haven’t already submitted your report, this is your last-minute reminder!

The compliance report ensures that your organization is meeting its requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

To complete the compliance report, you’ll need the following information:

  • Organization’s legal name
  • Business number (check your federal or provincial tax return)
  • Number of employees
  • Name and contact of certifier (person who has authority to say report is complete and accurate)

There are different forms for (1) businesses and non-profits with 20 or more employees, and (2) designated public-sector organizations. Designated public-sector organizations include school boards, hospitals, universities, colleges, public transportation, boards and tribunals, etc.

Business and non-profits must file reports every three years; public-sector organizations must file reports every two years.

To learn more about filling our your report, you can visit Ontario’s info page and watch a video, watch a described video or download a PDF. You can also check out our Quick Reference Chart for a visual checklist of obligations for each category of organization.
