The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has announced that, as of 2027, it aims to have all registered charities file their T3010S online through a CRA Account. This aligns with its updated pledge to modernize the charitable sector.
This will be a significant transition, given that many charities continue to file on paper. CRA has prepared resources and guidance to assist charities in transitioning online.
We are pleased to share that the Canadian Centre for Christian Charities (CCCC) CRA-certified T3010 software, designed to help charities complete their filings, is already live with a digital filing option!
The CCCC T3010 tool:
- Saves time by carrying over last year’s information
- Cross-references information between sections
- Includes helpful pop-up explainers
- Automatically calculates totals for you
After completing your T3010 in the CCCC software, you will download a .txt file of the completed return and upload it to CRA’s Upload a Return service, which can be found in My Business Account (MyBA).
CCCC member charities have complimentary access to the T3010 software, available to non-member charities for a nominal fee.

What’s Coming Next?
CRA has informed us that they are working on the next phase of their online filing service. In the next phase, certified software products, like CCCC’s, will be able to directly and securely transmit T3010 information returns, eliminating the need for the charity to download and subsequently upload a file to MyBA. When CRA makes this functionality available, CCCC will promptly add it to our software and inform our members.
